CardMax

Support

A real person reads this address. Write to patidar.pranshu21@gmail.com and you will get a reply, usually within two working days.

The quickest way to reach us is Send Feedback in the app's Settings. It fills in your app version, device and iOS version for you, which makes problems much faster to fix. For a statement that did not import correctly, a screenshot of the review screen helps a lot. Please never email us a full card number, a CVV or a statement password.

Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

In CardMax, open Settings and tap Manage subscription. Or open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then CardMax, then Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you already paid for runs out.

I already subscribed, but the app is asking me to subscribe again.

Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen. Your subscription is attached to your Apple Account, so make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still does not come back, write to us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles every purchase and refund for App Store apps. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request one there. We cannot issue it for you, but do write to us if the app let you down, because we would rather fix the problem.

I forgot my PIN.

If Face ID or Touch ID is turned on, unlock with it, then choose Change PIN in Settings. Without biometrics there is no way to recover the PIN. That is deliberate: your card data is encrypted on your device and we have no copy and no master key. Deleting and reinstalling the app lets you start again, but it removes the cards stored in it.

Will my cards move to a new iPhone?

Card numbers, CVVs and security codes are locked to the device they were entered on, by design. The encryption key is never backed up, so those fields cannot be read on another device, even from a backup. Plan to re-enter card numbers on a new device. Your subscription moves with you through Restore Purchases.

A statement did not import correctly.

Every import opens a review screen before anything is saved. Tap a transaction to fix it, swipe to delete one, and untick anything you do not want kept. A green badge means the transactions add up to the statement total, orange means they do not, which is your cue to check. PDFs work best. For a photo, lay the statement flat in good light. If a bank's format reads badly, tell us which bank and country and we will improve it.

My statement PDF is password protected.

That is fine. CardMax asks for the password when you import it. You can tick the box to save it for that card, encrypted on your device, so next month's statement opens straight away.

I am not getting bill reminders.

Check that Bill and due-date reminders is on in CardMax's Settings, that the card has a bill day and due day set, and that notifications for CardMax are allowed in the iOS Settings app. Focus modes can also hold notifications back.

Does CardMax connect to my bank or make payments?

No. It never asks for a bank login and never moves money. It is an organiser for the cards and statements you add yourself, which is exactly why none of your data needs to leave your device.

How do I delete everything?

Open Settings in CardMax and tap Delete Everything. All cards, statements and spends are removed from the device. Deleting the app does the same.
