Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of CardMax: Card Wallet & Manager for iPhone and iPad. Installing or using the app means you accept them. They sit alongside Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell the app, rent it out, reverse engineer it, or strip out parts of it for use elsewhere.
What the app is, and is not
CardMax is an organiser. It stores the card details you enter, reads statements you import, and reminds you about dates you set. It does not connect to your bank, move money, pay bills, or check your real balances. Statement reading is automatic and can make mistakes, so always check figures against the statement from your bank before relying on them. Reminders depend on the dates you enter and on iOS delivering notifications, so keep your own bank's alerts or autopay in place for anything important.
Nothing in the app or on this website is financial, credit or legal advice.
Subscription
- Using the app requires CardMax Pro, an auto-renewing subscription. In the United States it is priced at $6.99 per week or $49.99 per year. Prices in other countries are set for that country and shown to you in your own currency before you buy. There is no free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renew in the Settings app under your Apple Account, then Subscriptions. CardMax also links you straight there from Settings, under Manage subscription.
- Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it through Apple as described above.
Refunds
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund on Apple's behalf, though you are always welcome to write to us first if something has gone wrong.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or in Settings. The subscription is tied to your Apple Account, not to the device. Your card data is not restored this way, because it is kept only on the original device.
Your data and your responsibility
The information you put into CardMax is yours, and as described in the privacy policy, we never receive it. Because it lives only on your device, you are responsible for your device passcode, your app PIN, and keeping your device secure. If you forget your PIN and have no Face ID or Touch ID set up, we cannot recover it or your data. Only store cards you own or are authorised to use.
Availability and changes
Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the app develops, and iOS itself changes underneath it. We aim to keep the app working on currently supported versions of iOS and iPadOS, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or free of every fault.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for late fees, interest or charges from a missed payment, or for loss of data stored in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules.
